The main reason why I am here today is because of the role models I had when I was younger. I had a coach back when I played football in high school. Not only did Coach McKittrick help me gain the knowledge I needed to play football, but he also helped me with real-life struggles. He always said, "Live your dash" which meant that we all have a beginning and an end date on our tombstone, and what we choose to do with the dash in between is on us and will be our choices in life. Essentially, he was telling me to live my life to the fullest and choose which road I wanted to be on. Coach McKittrick was such a big influence on who I am and where I am at today. I cannot thank him enough for always being there to listen when I needed to talk and helping me with sticky situations.
